Effective October 20, 2026
This policy explains how Barry Lam, a sole proprietor doing business as WhisprIQ, based in Chino Hills, California ("WhisprIQ," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the WhisprIQ website, desktop app, and related services (the "Service").
WhisprIQ is a Windows desktop app for sales agents. During a call, the app captures audio from your microphone and from your computer's system audio, turns it into text, and sends that text to our servers and to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce live suggestions on your screen and a summary at the end of the call. WhisprIQ never speaks to the person you are calling and never sends messages on its own.
For accounts created on or after October 19, 2026, agreeing to call-data use is part of signing up: the signup checkbox covers our Terms, this Privacy Policy, and this call-data use together, and the Service cannot be created without it. It is therefore a condition of using the Service, not a separate optional opt-in. Accounts created before October 19, 2026 do not share call data for improvement.
For covered accounts, after each call we may save: the industry, the AI's estimate of the call outcome (for example closed, callback, or not interested) and its confidence, objection labels, call length, the suggestions shown, whether your next words matched a suggestion, and short text snippets around each suggestion. We automatically try to mask names, phone numbers, emails, ID numbers, and dates in snippets, but masking is not perfect. This data is linked to a one-way code instead of your email and is used in aggregated form to learn which suggestions lead to better outcomes for all users. You can ask us to stop using your future calls for improvement at any time by emailing admin@whispriq.com; if that is not compatible with your plan we will tell you and you may cancel.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with:
Your calls include information about other people. You, not WhisprIQ, decide when to use the app, and you are responsible for telling call participants that the call may be recorded and transcribed and for obtaining any consent the law requires. Some states, including California, require the consent of everyone on the call. WhisprIQ includes a recording and transcription disclosure in the opening script, which you must read. Do not read out Social Security, Medicare ID, bank, or card numbers while WhisprIQ is running. If a person you called asks us about their information, we will help where we can and may direct them to you.
Our AI provider may keep data for a limited time under its own API data policies, which state that API data is not used to train its models by default.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access a copy of it; correct inaccurate information; delete it; opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share it); limit use of sensitive personal information (we only use it to provide the Service); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of other states may have similar rights, and we will honor deletion and access requests from all users.
To make a request, email admin@whispriq.com from the email on your account. We will verify your identity, confirm receipt within 10 business days, and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent with written permission. Some information may be kept where the law allows, such as billing records. Deleting your account does not cancel a Stripe subscription by itself; cancel in the Customer Portal first.
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable providers to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
WhisprIQ is a business tool for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
WhisprIQ is operated from the United States, and information is processed in the United States.
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
